Counsel The Word @ Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
Sep 18 @ 10:00 am – Sep 19 @ 3:30 pm

Overview

There are a myriad of issues that can arise in counseling. Fear, anxiety, sexual sin, depression and mood swings are all issues facing people in the church. Biblical counselors are convinced that effective counseling rises or falls on one’s belief in the sufficiency of Scripture, which is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction and for training in righteousness.

The Counsel the Word conference will explore the theme that Scripture is sufficient to help people with their problems because Christ is sufficient for his people. General sessions will include topics like the sufficiency of the Christian worldview for understanding the difficult problems people face. Breakout sessions will feature leaders in the biblical counseling movement about how to minister to hurting and struggling people from the resources that Christians possess.

Join us for this inaugural event as we celebrate God’s power to change lives through his Word. It is our prayer that whether you are a pastor, counselor, student, lay leader or faithful church member, this conference will further equip you to make disciples for the kingdom.

Speakers: Paul David Tripp, David Powlison, R. Albert Mohler. Jr, & Heath Lambert

Music: Norton Hall Band
