Man Camp
Oct 24 – Oct 25 all-day

Overview: Boys do not become godly men on accident. God has called fathers to train their sons to be biblically masculine men. Man Camp is an event for fathers and sons to enjoy the outdoors and to learn more about biblical manhood. Sons must be 8 years old and up. Dan Dumas and Gunner Gundersen will share from God’s Word and campers will take part in archery, skeet shooting, and BB gun target practice.

Activities: camp out, bon fire, smores, gun shooting (BB gun, shotgun), archery, two talks on biblical manhood, other outdoor activities

What to bring: Food and activities are provided but campers need to bring their own tent, flash lights, camping chairs and sleeping bags. Campers are also welcome to bring their own shotguns, BB guns or archery equipment, but we will have some of these on site for everyone’s use.

“Tell Your Story”
Expositional Preaching in the African-American Church

Monday, October 27, 2014
In partnership with the Kentucky Baptist Convention

OVERVIEW

The African-American church has a rich history of faithful preaching from God’s Word. This tradition has seen preachers bring the Word to life in ways that are life-changing for their listeners, in ways that connect God’s story with their story. “Tell Your Story” will focus on that process, the process of getting the text right and getting the text across. How can expositors preach biblically faithful sermons that meaningfully connect within the African-American context? Join pastors Thabiti Anyabwile, H.B. Charles, Jr., Victor Sholar, and Kevin Smith  as they provide instruction and encouragement on this topic.
